Five Olympic rings illuminating Col Drusciè, music and a magical torchlight descent to celebrate the “minus 2 years” to the opening of the XXV Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
In Cortina d’Ampezzo, the entire community celebrated this significant moment with emotion, toasting in the Temporary Lounge of Fondazione Cortina and witnessing the ski instructors’ torchlight descent from Drusciè to join the celebrations.
“These will be two very intense years in which Fondazione Cortina and the entire territory, from institutions to sector operators, will have to prepare themselves to manage and welcome the Olympic event. The appointments of the winter season – as well as those of the summer season – will serve as stress tests that will allow us to arrive prepared and to capitalize on the legacy for the future, for the new generations of athletes and mountain citizens so that the 2026 Games become an extraordinary economic and social engine for the entire Belluno territory, also with an inclusive perspective,” comments the Chairman of Fondazione Cortina, Stefano Longo.
